The Tesla Product Knowledge team is responsible for ensuring that Tesla employees, customers and other Tesla stakeholders around the world know about Tesla products and how they engage with Tesla’s message. Our team creates internal and external educational content on Tesla products. We also manage company-wide product updates, support programs, and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across the industry on product information. We pride ourselves on creating fun, engaging, accessible, and friendly experiences that create the Tesla culture and make employees and customers feel confident and connected to Tesla products. This learning content includes videos, automotive UI streams, mobile app streams, internal communications, reference guides, online tutorials, instructor-led live sessions, websites, etc. We cover our vehicles, their accessories, solar and energy storage offerings, our facilities, our robots, and the software and hardware that support them. We are a small, highly visible group with a very important mission. As such, the pace is fast and change is constant. We do a lot of work all the time. We have a variety of jobs (no two weeks are the same), and we enjoy doing it. In addition, we work with the most delicious products in the world.

Functions:
Your main job will be to write and edit educational texts about Tesla products: video scripts, screen texts for videos, video titles and descriptions, language for the learning experience on our car screens and on the Tesla mobile app, internal instructions, information . website, and more. You will also develop answers to questions from stakeholders such as customers, customer-facing employees, executives and decision makers. Your expertise in Tesla products and training will be used to guide learning design, user experience design, and visual direction of what we will achieve. You will be responsible for reviewing these documents prior to your release. You will also play a leading role in monitoring and reporting the impact of the learning resources we create.
We are looking for a specialized copywriter with deep knowledge of automotive technology and clean energy who can translate high-tech details into information and product education that can understand and compel people and – listen. This service is between our customers and our technical team. You should be able to understand and communicate with both groups. You have to interact with engineers and designers in the world, you have to be able to “speak their language” so that you can always learn from them (and from you). You will retain expertise in Tesla products that require this technology culture. You will develop relationships with Tesla customers and customer-facing teams made possible by your personality and exceptional communication skills. You will be trusted to provide customer and educational insights for the Tesla team to help improve our product, making it easier to use and more enjoyable for customers.
