Full Job Description :
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications/electrical engineering, or related field, or relevant experience.
3 years experience with 3GPP/3GPP2 standards. Experience in analyzing performance/field issues of GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR L1 modems.
Experience with C/C++ and embedded RTOS. Candidate Qualifications:
Knowledge of debugging Acoustic Mean Opinion Score (MOS) field test issues.
Familiarity with test equipment for signal testing (eg Anritsu 8821, CMW 500, UXM).
About Work:
As a Firmware Engineer within the Layer 1 Acoustics team, you will focus on modem acoustics work, including the development, installation, configuration and performance improvement of acoustics modems on Android devices, working closely with the Pixel Software team/ Hardware and vendors. You will be the point of contact for troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of acoustic modem issues related to certification, field testing, and customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining the functionality and performance of the modem’s audio features. In this group, you will not only have the opportunity to expand your domain knowledge and better understand the modem from a system perspective, but you will also be encouraged to come up with new and useful ideas for improving audio performance. .
