Under direct supervision, develop skills through formal training and ongoing work experience. Performs assigned duties regularly with detailed instructions and established policies and procedures. Performs physical security duties, enforces Federal Reserve policies/regulations and applicable federal laws to protect employees and assets. Responds to bank incidents and provides emergency services. This position is an important role of the Bank and may require long hours of work and / or work during emergency situations or crises.

Main Functions:

Maintains the designation required to act as a law enforcement officer pursuant to the authority granted to the Board of Governors by section 11(q) of the Federal Reserve Act and the Uniform Regulations for Law Enforcement Officers of the Federal Reserve Act. Meet minimum employment standards and training requirements
Develops, demonstrates and maintains the competence of all aspects of the main operations such as: operational strategies, weapons (lethal and non-lethal), physical protection equipment, first aid and CPR, fire fighting techniques, civil disturbances and public relations. Must demonstrate sound/sound judgment in matters of life safety, prudent use of weapons and/or detected explosives and appropriate handling of sensitive information and events. Perform safety and security related duties. Protects buildings/grounds and reports unusual or unauthorized situations, responds to emergency situations and provides emergency services. Monitors surveillance equipment, intercoms, telephones, radios and other specialized equipment. Monitors banking departments for security or security breaches and reports findings to department management. Prepares appropriate change reports, histories and other required documents as required.
Control foot and foot traffic into the facility by using screening tools to detect unauthorized items before entering the bank. Monitors traffic entering the storage area for unauthorized users or content. Monitors and authorizes guests to access bank facilities and records guest data in appropriate records. As required, may conduct initial emergency and incident investigations, make appropriate announcements and perform follow-up duties as directed by supervisor. You may be required to testify in court in response to a warrant for an accident or incident. Develop skills in using a personal computer (PC) and related software required to perform work tasks.
May participate in special duties to protect the Reserve Bank or senior executives as required, this may include escorting visitors, contractors and/or vendors working in the area high security.
