In a non-sworn capacity, provides support to Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers (FRLEO) who are tasked with protecting businesses, employees and homeowners. Under direct or general supervision, performs separate dispatch duties for emergency and non-emergency calls. Dispatches FRLEOs on calls of duty and operates a variety of security systems and communications equipment such as access control, CCTV, radios, telephones, and security-related computer equipment. May perform other side duties such as assisting with construction, making access cards and/or taking reports for certain types of service calls.
Main Functions:
Demonstrates a high standard of law enforcement duties while responsible for all duties related to the law enforcement agency, including monitoring and operation of two-way radios, telephones and dispatching law enforcement officers and other personnel to respond to incidents occurred in the Federal environment. Reservation of property and/or land. Monitors facilities for security and safety violations through security systems (video surveillance and access control) and reports the results. Serves as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and troubleshooting security monitoring systems. Maintains records, enters data into security applications, completes daily reports, processes management card requests; working with NCIC computers, conducting fingerprint and background checks, sending BOLO (be on the lookout) messages received about dangerous or wanted criminals to FRLEO; receive emergency requests or messages from users and enter those requests using automated incident/event reporting tools; maintains accurate records of computerized communications as required by governing bodies for NCIC information. Review Command Office documents and records for accuracy and completeness and expand areas of concern to department management. Maintains all procedures, policies, regulations and rules while maintaining and operating the equipment management system, distributing the required general information, maintaining and entering records, materials and information. Process, create and/or program ID/badge proximity cards, complete daily reports for emergency service calls, assist in evacuation and other emergency response efforts. Controls pedestrian and vehicle access to facilities from a control center using a security system. Performs various clerical duties as required and may assist with special projects. Identifies processes, procedures and policy improvements to improve the efficiency of legal office operations and works with department management to implement recommended changes. Makes recommendations to management to influence operational/policy reviews. As a subject matter expert, train with experienced consultants working in law firms and remote operations, including automated systems.
Maintain first aid, CPR and AED (automatic external defibrillator) skills, successfully completing on-the-job training in these areas.
