The duties of the job are.

  •  Process new patient registration by entering data into the proper system while adhering to Walgreens’ provided data entry procedures and guidelines. handles prescription requests from patients by HIPAA rules and enters refill requests for processing. interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes), and investigates issues to locate missing prescription data. handles all data entry-related exceptions.
  •  handles patient communication (including emails, chats, and phone calls) and makes outbound calls to prescribers and patients as required.
  •  Through the review, information gathering, corrections, and resubmission for processing by particular plan requirements resolve Third Party Rejects. Calls insurance companies and other parties to request information, obtain permission for an override, or come up with a different strategy for dealing with Third Party Rejects.
  •  aids pharmacists, both those employed at the facility and those employed elsewhere. Identifies issues and, as required, alerts higher-level staff to them.
  •  Get a technician license or certification that is active and keep it up to date within the first 90 days.

 Fundamental requirements.
  •  A high school diploma or a GED.
  •  Basic PC skills include the ability to turn a computer on and off, point and click a mouse to open and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access online information.
  •  Basic search engine skills include opening a browser, typing URLs in the appropriate place, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating with the back, forward, and stop buttons, and filling out online forms.
  •  Intermediate level keyboarding skills (touch typing at least 25 words per minute, document formatting).
  •  effective communication in both written and spoken form.
  •  There is a required minimum age of 18.
 Suitable qualifications.
  •  possess at least one year of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail or call center environment.
  •  a State Board for Pharmacy certificate or state registration, as well as at least 18 months of pharmacy technician experience.
  •  a track record of providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients, including assuring that services are provided by quality standards and measuring client satisfaction.
  •  Keyboarding abilities between intermediate and advanced (at least 35 WPM, touch typing, document formatting).
  •  Language skills in both English and Spanish.
