Bring your love of games and joy for helping others as we develop our gaming experience. As we quickly grow our new gaming offerings, we’re looking for an experienced engineer who’s excited to spearhead the ongoing building and scaling of our efforts for our global audience.
For our cloud gaming service, this position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining extremely complex software stacks. This necessitates the use of a comfortable software engineer working across the entire application pipeline, including hardware-accelerated media encoding and decoding, network transport protocols, and video/audio/data processing. This necessitates the use of engineers who have the knowledge and aptitude to enhance both the performance of the local system (writing high-performance, efficient code with a thorough understanding of both hardware and software dynamics) and the performance of the entire system (including the efficient and effective use of Internet connectivity). Engineers must all feel comfortable developing excellent solutions to business problems amid high levels of ambiguity if they are to continue to push the boundaries of what they are capable of. working familiarity with either the Unreal or Unity game engines.
