- This position is a part of the Information Technology Division’s Information Technology Team.
- Create and keep up mobile- and web-based Java applications and web services. The selected applicant will be allowed to work on an agile team where they will have the chance to communicate with internal clients, management, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, and other developers to comprehend requirements and development needs while gaining valuable experience and skills.
What you’ll do?
- Under the direction of senior developers, develops new applications and keeps the ones that already exist for the IT portfolios for environmental and safety, emergency preparedness and response, and corporate security, among other things. This work could consist of performance optimization, bug fixes, and feature additions.
- New technology is investigated and used to enhance existing practices’ security, performance, and efficiency.
- while troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, finding solutions, and putting them into practice.
- Establishes thorough project requirements, specifications, and estimates in collaboration with a team, and ensures that tasks and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- collaborates with the production operations division to make sure deployments go smoothly and different customer groups get the proper support.
- confirmation of design decisions through documentation.
- aids in the implementation of new rules and procedures developed by the development team.
- adheres to the security standards and best practices established by the development team, and supports the development of coding standards.
- participates in code reviews.
- offers on-call production support (24/7/365) as required.

Education and professional experience are minimum requirements.
- possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology, information systems (CIS/MIS), engineering, or a closely related technical field, or have the corresponding experience or training.
- two years of development expertise.
- Utilizing web-based tools or services for a year.
Qualifications that are preferred include education and prior work experience.
- 2+ years of development experience overall.
- knowledge of two or more web applications.
- understanding of the airline business.
Information, Authorizations, and Certifications.
- understanding of common data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and design patterns that is beginner to intermediate.
- web development technologies like Python, C, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, GIT, JQuery, Angular, SOAP/REST, etc., from basic to advanced knowledge.
- understanding of Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Visual Studio, and GitHub.
- working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- the ability to thoroughly inspect services and applications to ensure that they adhere to security standards.
- technical knowledge of sockets, TCP/IP, and UDP.
- Excellent ability to organize my time and set priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Personal commitment to the principles of Agile and continuous improvement.
- familiarity with TDD and automated testing.
- knowledge of PCI Compliance and OWASP requirements.
- the capacity to use analysis tools like SOAPUI, Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer, and Dynatrace.
