American Express Travel Related Services Inc. Managers, Risk Management is seeking solutions for risk management and business strategies using commercial or consumer bureau data. Use business intelligence, statistical, financial, or machine learning techniques to analyze and translate both structured and unstructured data. Integrate and implement business strategies and risk management policies by working with technology and other groups. To increase the profitability of American Express’s products and services, identify and evaluate new data sources, both regulated and unregulated. Drive continual improvement in risk management frameworks and methodologies by utilizing internal and external best practices and adding regulatory feedback as necessary.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research, engineering, computer science, business administration, or a related field is required for the position, as well as two years of experience in data analysis, data mining, and creating management information system reporting. A minimum of one year must have been spent working with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams, translating complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences, performing cost-benefit analyses, creating and implementing business process improvement strategies, and utilizing Agile and Waterfall Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Up to three days per week can be spent working remotely.
