Full Job Description : 

In compliance with state and federal regulations, performs data entry and patient registration. Responsible for resolving third party rejections and responding to high volume customer inquiries, working under direct supervision. Follows standard operating procedures and performs tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for using pharmaceutical systems to obtain patient and drug information. Run the automated machinery needed to pre-sort and package medications to support the fulfillment site. Duties may vary depending on the assigned department.

Job Responsibilities:

Using Walgreens prescription data entry guidelines and procedures, process new patient enrollment by entering data into the appropriate system. Handles patient prescription requests according to HIPAA guidelines and enters refill orders for processing. Troubleshoot missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolves all data entry exceptions. Run automated machinery, sort medications, move inventory through different workflow stages with a focus on quality control.
Count and fill prescriptions, label, package and ship. Clean and help maintain machinery and keep a tidy work area.
Resolves third-party rejections by reviewing, collating information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing in accordance with individual plan requirements. Provides support to pharmacists, both on-site and off-site. Identify and communicate issues to higher level personnel as appropriate. You must obtain an active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active technician license or certification.
