- Our Technology group’s Data Engineering and Analytics team is responsible for this position. Designing and delivering analytics solutions, streamlining and improving data analytics for American Airlines, and collaborating with others are all ways you’ll contribute your data engineering, collaboration, and analytical skills to help create a culture that values data.

- Manage and assist one or more platforms for the marketplace, stewardship, catalog, quality, and literacy of data governance.
- supporting the investigation, evaluation, recommendation, acquisition, setup, and development of new Data Quality, Observability, and Data Access Management software.
- The platform and data governance features of our products are integrated.
- supporting automated systems and frameworks for data governance.
- Working closely with source data application teams and product owners, develop and implement data governance solutions that give you the knowledge you need to make better decisions.
- Perform a variety of development lifecycle tasks, including design, cloud engineering (Infrastructure, network, security, and administration), ingestion, preparation, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, deployments, consumption, BI, alerting, and prod support.
- Possess technical leadership, engage in group collaboration, and work independently.
- Join a DevOps team that maintains and controls all aspects of its Data Governance product.
- oversees the creation of coding standards, recommended practices, and rules for governance, privacy, and security.
- If one wants to create multifunctional teams, one must train others in technical and domain skills.

Work experience and education are the minimum requirements.
- a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology, information systems (CIS/MIS), engineering, or a closely related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- For the past three years, software solutions have been created using agile and DevOps, with a product model that includes designing, creating, and putting into use large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- SQL data analytics expertise spanning three years.
- 2 years of experience working with cloud platforms and data lakes, preferably on Microsoft Azure, and working knowledge of Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- The following tools and platforms, including Development, Administration, and Support, must be familiar with.
- Python, Unix, Spark, SQL, and Unix are scripting languages.
- Our data platforms include Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake.
- utilizing Azure Data Explorer. Experience in administration is advantageous.
- Examples of Azure Cloud Technologies include Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Factory Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Azure Functions.
- Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, and CI/CD are some examples.
- a group of analytics tools for business intelligence (BI), such as Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana.
- DataWarehousing: Informatica and DataStage.
- Informatica Axon and EDC, BigID, Anomalo, Montecarlo, and other tools for data quality are a few examples of software for data governance and privacy.
Education and previous work experience are preferred qualifications.
- designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions over a four-year or longer time frame using an agile, dev ops, product model.
- at least four years’ worth of experience using SQL for data analytics.
- experience in full-stack development for at least three years, preferably in Azure.
- Having worked with data lakes for at least three years and developing cloud applications, preferably on Microsoft Azure. This experience should also use Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADX, ASA, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- with data platform and data governance products for at least three years.
- experience in the aviation sector.
- a combination of credentials, knowledge, and authority.
- understanding of the Azure Technology stack, including management, ingestion, capture, processing, curation, and layer creation.
- understand how to effectively use Azure Native cloud services to lead people.
- The Microsoft Azure Development Track Certification is the most preferred accreditation.
