The Design Technology team ensures that engineering designs, such as the lists of components and steps needed to assemble a Model X, are constantly communicated throughout the company as they change over time. Designing the equipment, processes, and production facilities required to make Tesla products is something we support. Our company develops custom software and modifies commercial design tools like visualizers and CAD software. A significant challenge we face is managing mechanical designs, complete with versions, branches, and merge conflicts, like software.

We are seeking engineers with C++ experience to write software that will accelerate mechanical designs for our thriving community of thousands of engineers. This includes as well.

CAA (C++) coding customization on a top CAD editor to improve user experience.
Adding automated validations to the 3D models is recommended when evaluating the quality of a design.
