  •  In your capacity as the team’s director of partner-centric scheduling, you will take the lead in reimagining how Starbucks’ hourly partners and store managers manage their schedules. By doing this, we can improve the quality of our partners’ interactions with one another and make sure that their daily schedules more accurately reflect their preferences and needs. By identifying and resolving our most challenging issues in a way that simultaneously satisfies the needs of our partners, stores, and business, you will improve our partner experience and help Starbucks get closer to its goal of having the best jobs in retail. Success in this role will fundamentally alter Starbucks’ scheduling paradigm in addition to inspiring other hourly employers in the retail, food service, and hospitality industries, among others. You will be successful working closely with several Starbucks teams, such as Analytics and Insights, Store Operations, Partner Resources (HR), Starbucks Technology, Enterprise Architecture, and Partner Brand Communications, as well as imagining and organizing projects with important external partners and frequently engaging to directly co-create the future with our retail partners.

  •  Create working teams on your own, collaborate with senior leaders to direct strategic projects and initiatives, create work plans, budgets, and deliverables, carry out project plans, and oversee cross-functional teams through all development and execution stages.
  •  Lead cooperative cross-functional teams in your capacity as the company’s spokesperson for key initiatives and programs.
  •  Establish the vision, identify opportunities and risks, and enlist support to push change urgently and broadly on behalf of our Retail Partners. Act as a change agent and a champion.
  •  Create new scheduling techniques at Starbucks so that we can add new capabilities to our existing toolkit and position the business as a thought leader in the industry.
  •  Act as a thought leader with executive leaders by persuasively expressing the viewpoint of our Partners through data- and insight-driven storytelling.
  •  Considering the interdependencies and relationships between various scheduling-focused programs and initiatives, use systems thinking approach to conceptualize, plan, and prioritize them.
  •  extensive cross-functional leadership consultation to make sure opportunities and challenges are foreseen and coordinated responses are made.
