Yelp is looking for a Senior Product Manager to develop the latest advertising and process algorithms. In this highly visible and effective role, you will develop whiteboard algorithms and in-market advertising capabilities, working on products that increase advertising value in our marketplace for local businesses and users. What will you do:
Develop algorithms to determine ad rank, competition, and price across multiple ad platforms. Develop and implement predictive models to efficiently, competitively connect advertisers and consumers.
Conduct and lead analysis to gain a deep understanding of market trends and identify new areas for the engineering team to focus on. Optimize your ad campaign content to deliver more value to advertisers and increase your long-term revenue.
What you need to complete:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required. Experience as a product manager in your industry with a background in physics, math, mechanical engineering, business, or another industry, you can excel at improving advertising.
Technology savvy: You have the ability to solve complex, business-critical technology problems. Customer Focus: Drive revenue growth and leverage by translating customer needs into unique capabilities. Problem Solving: Likes to break down complex, non-problematic problems into digestible chunks, then build short- and long-term plans from there. You can do your own analysis using iPython and SQL.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and translate between technical and non-technical users. Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders in multiple areas of the organization.
