This role plays a critical part in managing hardware lifecycle and ensuring high system reliability within AWS’s large-scale data centers. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot advanced hardware issues, including servers, storage, and networking devices, ensuring 24/7 operation.
- Maintain system reliability and availability, addressing issues promptly.
- Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiency, sharing knowledge with global technical teams.
- Train less technical staff on best practices related to hardware troubleshooting and service ownership.
- Contribute to interviews and help build the team during the hiring process.
- Manage trouble tickets, working to resolve issues through a directed workflow.
- Participate in on-call duties and handle scheduled maintenance, infrastructure monitoring, and change management activities.
- Document root causes for operational issues, contributing to process improvement.
- Ensure adherence to safety and security policies.
A Day in the Life:
- Support and maintain DC infrastructure equipment like racks, servers, networking devices, and cables.
- Follow ticket-based environments for systematic problem resolution and perform routine operations on hardware.
- Engage in site management and ensure tidiness in the operation areas.
- Work in 24/7 shift rotations, contributing to smooth Data Center operations

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with server hardware and network fiber.
