Job Overview:

The Language Teacher (Tamil) will be responsible for delivering high-quality language education to students at GIG International School, with a focus on Tamil as part of the Cambridge curriculum. This position involves teaching Tamil across CLSP and IGCSE O Level, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Learning:
   • Deliver effective lessons in Tamil that align with the Cambridge International curriculum.
   • Foster a creative, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
   • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
2. Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities:
   • Participate in and support the development of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities related to Tamil language and culture.
3. Management of Resources:
   • Efficiently manage teaching resources to enhance student learning experiences.
   • Ensure resources are aligned with curriculum needs.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Assessment:
   • Continuously assess and monitor student performance through regular evaluations and feedback.
   • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.

General Requirements:

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Tamil Language.
• Professional Qualification: A professional teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is required.
• Experience:
  • Prior experience in teaching in a Cambridge International School is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in handling IGCSE O Level cohorts is preferred.

Additional Criteria:

• Only open to Singapore Residents.
• No quota for foreign applicants.

Schedule:

• Day shift.
