  1. Perform regular tree pruning and maintenance to ensure the health and safety of trees in the city.
  2. Identify and assess tree health and determine appropriate pruning techniques.
  3. Use specialized equipment and tools to safely prune trees at various heights and locations.
  4. Follow proper safety procedures and guidelines while working at heights and operating equipment.
  5. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute tree pruning projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  6. Communicate with city officials and residents to address any concerns or questions about tree pruning.
  7. Keep accurate records of all pruning activities and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry standards, techniques, and safety protocols related to tree pruning.
  9. Follow all city and state regulations and guidelines related to tree maintenance and pruning.
  10. Assist with other tree-related tasks and projects as needed, such as planting, watering, and removal.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the city and the tree pruning team.
  12. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the health and appearance of the city’s urban forest.
  13. Work independently and as part of a team to ensure all pruning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  14. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
  15. Act as a knowledgeable resource for residents and visitors regarding the city’s tree pruning practices and policies.Knowledge Of Tree Care: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Tree Biology, Proper Pruning Techniques, And The Ability To Identify And Diagnose Tree Health Issues.

    Experience With Pruning Equipment: Applicants Should Have Experience Operating Pruning Equipment Such As Chainsaws, Pole Pruners, And Hand Saws. They Should Also Be Knowledgeable About Safety Protocols And Procedures.

     

    Physical Fitness: Tree Pruning Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires Strength, Agility, And Endurance. Candidates Should Be Able To Work At Heights And In Various Weather Conditions.

     

    Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Tree Pruner To Effectively Communicate With Team Members And Residents. They Should Be Able To Clearly Explain The Pruning Process And Address Any Concerns.

     

    Valid Driver’s License: A Valid Driver’s License Is Required For This Position As Tree Pruners Are Often Required To Drive To Different Job Sites Within The City. A Clean Driving Record Is Also Preferred.
