Safely maneuver trailers and containers around the facility.
Maintain a clean and organized yard area.
Monitor and report any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment.
Follow designated routes and schedules.
Operate equipment, such as a yard tractor, in a safe and efficient manner.
Assist with loading and unloading of trailers and containers.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated areas.
Keep accurate records of trailer and container movements.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Report any accidents or incidents to management immediately.
Participate in training and development programs as required.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Cdl): A Cdl Is Required To Operate Large Trucks And Trailers, Which Are Commonly Used In A Yard Jockey Position.
Prior Experience In Truck Driving Or Yard Jockeying: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Truck Driving Or Yard Jockeying, Preferably In A Distribution Or Warehouse Setting.
Physical Fitness: The Job Of A Yard Jockey Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, As Well As Stand, Walk, And Climb For Extended Periods Of Time.
Knowledge Of Safety Regulations: As A Yard Jockey, It Is Important To Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Procedures, Including Proper Loading And Unloading Techniques, Maneuvering In Tight Spaces, And Securing Cargo.
Attention To Detail: Yard Jockeys Are Responsible For Inspecting And Maintaining Equipment, As Well As Completing Paperwork And Documentation Accurately. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role To Ensure The Safe And Efficient Operation Of Equipment.
