Develop and implement transportation plans for domestic shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, production, and warehouse, to understand demand and develop transportation strategies that align with business goals.
Monitor and analyze transportation costs and performance metrics, making recommendations for improvement and cost savings.
Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and optimal service levels.
Coordinate and schedule shipments, taking into account factors such as delivery deadlines, product availability, and transportation capacity.
Manage relationships with carriers and resolve any issues or delays in transportation.
Track and report on transportation KPIs, providing regular updates to management.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to transportation and supply chain management.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Train and mentor junior members of the transportation team.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement transportation strategies for new product launches.
Participate in regular meetings and communicate updates and challenges to key stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transportation operations.

Job Qualifications
