Provide respiratory therapy services to patients according to established protocols and standards.

Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.

Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies.
Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate respiratory care.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide support and guidance to junior respiratory therapists.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Certified Respiratory Therapist 2 At Baptist Health South Florida Must Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor’s Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Practice As A Respiratory Therapist.
Active Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt): To Be Considered For The Certified Respiratory Therapist 2 Position, Applicants Must Hold Current Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise And Proficiency In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist: Baptist Health South Florida Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist For The Certified Respiratory Therapist 2 Position. This Ensures That Applicants Have A Strong Foundation Of Clinical Experience And Are Capable Of Handling Complex Cases And Procedures.
Active State Licensure: All Applicants For The Certified Respiratory Therapist 2 Position Must Hold An Active State License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist In Florida. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Qualified And Authorized To Provide Respiratory Care Within The State.
