Perform endoscopy procedures with precision and accuracy, following established protocols and guidelines.
Set up and prepare equipment and instruments for procedures, ensuring proper functionality and sterile conditions.
Assist physicians during procedures by providing necessary instruments, handling specimens, and monitoring patient vital signs.
Maintain a safe and clean environment in the endoscopy suite, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Document and maintain accurate records of all procedures, including patient information, equipment used, and any complications or incidents.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Keep up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices in endoscopy procedures, and incorporate them into daily practice.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Demonstrate a professional, compassionate, and empathetic demeanor towards patients and their families.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Mentor and train new Endoscopy Technicians, providing guidance and support to promote their professional development.
Collaborate with supply chain and purchasing departments to ensure adequate supply levels and proper inventory management.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following proper infection control and sterilization procedures.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Outpatient Center Setting.
Completion Of A Recognized Endoscopy Technician Training Program.
Current Certification As A Certified Gastroenterology Technician (Cgt) Or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (Cfer).
Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment, Procedures, And Infection Control Protocols.
Strong Communication And Patient Care Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
