Provide exceptional nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with Baptist Health South Florida’s standards and protocols.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide education to patients and their families regarding their surgical procedure.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess for any changes in their condition.
Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, including setting up and cleaning equipment and supplies.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean surgical environment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Stay up-to-date with current nursing practices and attend continuing education programs to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or needs.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Demonstrate professionalism and maintain a positive attitude towards patients, colleagues, and the organization.

Job Qualifications
Bls And Acls Certification.
Current Rn License In The State Of Florida.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Surgical Setting.
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment Used In The Operating Room.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Quality Patient Care.
