Provide exceptional care to pediatric patients and their families in an outpatient setting.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and assess patient’s condition and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
Stay current with advancements and changes in pediatric care and incorporate them into practice.
Provide emotional support and comfort to pediatric patients and their families.
Assist in coordinating and scheduling appointments and procedures for patients.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures.
Collaborate with community resources and organizations to provide additional support and resources for patients and families.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution Is Typically Required For A Rn Position At Yale New Haven Health System.
Active Rn License: All Applicants Must Hold A Current, Active License As A Registered Nurse In The State Of Connecticut. This License Must Be In Good Standing And Without Any Restrictions Or Disciplinary Actions.
Pediatric Nursing Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Pediatric Specialty Center Is Highly Preferred. This Could Include Experience In A Pediatric Clinic, Hospital, Or Other Healthcare Setting.
Bls And Pals Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certifications Are Required For This Position. These Certifications Must Be Obtained And Maintained Throughout Employment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role As It Involves Working Closely With Pediatric Patients, Their Families, And A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team. The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Compassionately Is Crucial In Providing High-Quality Care.
