- Ensure the safety and security of all patients, visitors, and staff within the Yale New Haven Health System.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and address potential security risks.
- Respond to and investigate any security incidents, including but not limited to theft, vandalism, and disruptive behavior.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to de-escalate conflicts and effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other security professionals to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all security incidents and activities.
- Monitor and enforce access control procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
- Train and educate staff on security procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Participate in emergency response drills and exercises.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and make recommendations for improving security protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all individuals within the Yale New Haven Health System.
- Serve as a role model for other protective services officers and assist in their training and development.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to security and law enforcement.

Job Qualifications
- Prior Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement: A Sr Protective Services Patrol Officer At Yale New Haven Health System Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Security Or Law Enforcement Field, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
- Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Protocols And Procedures, Including Emergency Response, Access Control, And Incident Management.
- Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Sr Protective Services Patrol Officer, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Visitors, And Staff Is Essential. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team-Oriented Environment.
- Physical Fitness And Agility: This Role Requires A High Level Of Physical Fitness And Agility, As The Officer Will Be Required To Perform Regular Patrols, Respond To Emergencies, And Handle Potentially Physically Demanding Situations.
- Proficiency In Emergency Response And Crisis Management: The Sr Protective Services Patrol Officer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Emergency Response And Crisis Management Procedures, Including First Aid And Cpr Certification.
