Conduct research and stay updated on current fashion trends to ensure the sourcing of materials and suppliers align with our brand’s aesthetic and vision.
Collaborate with design and production teams to understand their material and supplier needs, and source accordingly.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality for materials.
Maintain a database of approved suppliers and materials, regularly updating and evaluating their performance.
Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and materials that could enhance our product offerings.
Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
Communicate with suppliers to gather information and maintain positive relationships.
Coordinate with logistics and shipping departments to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of materials.
Review and analyze pricing and sourcing data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Assist in the creation of sourcing strategies and plans to support company goals and objectives.
Prepare and present reports to management on sourcing activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends.
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to sourcing and procurement.
Attend trade shows and industry events to network with potential suppliers and stay informed on new materials and technologies.
Uphold the company’s ethical and sustainability standards in all sourcing activities.
