Set up and operate audio-visual equipment and systems for events held in the City of Pittsburgh.
Ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during events.
Collaborate with event planners and coordinators to understand the specific AV needs and requirements for each event.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of all AV equipment inventory and usage.
Coordinate with venue staff to ensure proper placement and setup of AV equipment.
Stay updated on emerging AV technology and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements to enhance event experiences.
Train and supervise event staff on the proper use of AV equipment.
Assist with post-event breakdown and storage of AV equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized AV storage room.
Provide excellent customer service to event attendees and promptly address any technical issues that may arise.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating AV equipment.
Collaborate with other event staff to ensure a smooth and successful event experience.
Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events.
Continuously strive to improve event experiences through innovative use of AV technology.
Represent the City of Pittsburgh in a professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
Technical Knowledge And Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Audiovisual Equipment And Technology, As Well As Experience In Setting Up And Operating Av Systems.
Ability To Troubleshoot And Problem Solve: The Av Event Technician Must Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Issues That May Arise During Events, Ensuring A Seamless Experience For Attendees.
Communication Skills: This Role Will Require Frequent Interaction With Event Organizers, Clients, And Other Team Members. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Providing Clear Instructions.
Flexibility And Adaptability: Av Events Can Be Unpredictable And May Require Last-Minute Changes Or Adjustments. The Candidate Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Circumstances And Work Efficiently Under Pressure.
