Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Utilize knowledge of pharmacy technology and medication names to accurately enter prescription information.
Communicate effectively with customers and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional customer service.
Verify insurance information and process payment transactions.
Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely ordering of medications.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA guidelines.
Continuously expand knowledge of pharmacy practices and new medications.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all privacy regulations.
Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements.
Work closely with the pharmacy team to identify and resolve any issues or concerns.
Handle and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and completing paperwork accurately.

Job Qualifications
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Certified Pharmacy Technician At Walgreens Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education To Demonstrate Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of The Job Requirements.
Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Certification Program: Walgreens Requires All Their Certified Pharmacy Technicians To Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certification Program. This Ensures That The Technician Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
State Certification: In Addition To A Certification Program, Walgreens Also Requires Their Pharmacy Technicians To Hold A Valid State Certification. This Certification Is Obtained By Passing A State-Specific Exam And Demonstrates The Technician’s Understanding Of State Laws And Regulations Regarding Pharmacy Practices.
Experience In A Pharmacy Setting: While Not Always Required, Walgreens Prefers Their Certified Pharmacy Technicians To Have Some Prior Experience Working In A Pharmacy Setting. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Internships, Externships, Or Previous Employment At A Pharmacy.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Certified Pharmacy Technician, Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential.
