Perform a variety of hair styling services, including cutting, coloring, and styling, for clients of all ages and hair types.
Stay up-to-date on the latest hair trends and techniques, and incorporate them into your services to provide unique and personalized looks for clients.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide recommendations and suggestions for their hair.
Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for clients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their service.
Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals and following COVID-19 guidelines.
Continuously develop and improve your skills through training and education opportunities provided by the company.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, while also supporting and assisting each other when needed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and promoting customer loyalty.
Keep track of inventory and supplies, and assist with ordering new products as needed.
Participate in promotional events and marketing initiatives to attract new clients and promote JCPenney’s hair styling services.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the company’s values and brand.
Provide feedback and suggestions to the salon manager to improve services and enhance the overall client experience.
Follow company policies and procedures, including scheduling, timekeeping, and dress code guidelines.
Adhere to all state and federal regulations and licensing requirements for hair stylists.

Job Qualifications
Cosmetology License: Applicants For The Hair Stylist Position At Jcpenney Should Hold A Valid Cosmetology License From An Accredited Institution.
Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Professional Salon Setting Is Required For This Role. Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment Is A Plus.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Provide Exceptional Customer Service To Clients.
Knowledge Of Hair Care Products: Familiarity With A Wide Range Of Hair Care Products And Their Uses Is Necessary For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Various Hair Types, Textures, And Styling Techniques.
