Operate and maintain Wire EDM equipment to produce high-quality components for advanced imaging systems.
Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Set up and program Wire EDM machines to ensure accuracy and precision in the manufacturing process.
Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize the manufacturing process and improve product quality.
Keep detailed records of production data and maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on advancements in Wire EDM technology and techniques.

Job Qualifications
Proficiency In Wire Edm: A Machinist B At Canon Must Possess Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Operating, Programming, And Troubleshooting Wire Edm Machines. This Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints And Use Specialized Software For Programming.
Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Machining Principles And Processes, As Well As The Ability To Use Various Measuring Tools And Equipment. Knowledge Of Cad/Cam Software And Experience With Precision Measuring Instruments Is Also Preferred.
Attention To Detail: Precision Is Crucial In The Manufacturing Of Canon Products, And A Wire Edm Specialist Must Demonstrate A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Their Work. This Includes The Ability To Closely Follow Instructions And Make Precise Adjustments To Meet Tight Tolerances.
Experience In A Manufacturing Environment: Previous Experience Working In A Manufacturing Setting, Preferably In The Electronics Or Technology Industry, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Includes Experience With Lean Manufacturing Principles And Working In A Fast-Paced, Deadline-Driven Environment.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: As A Machinist B At Canon, The Individual Will Be Working Closely With Other Team Members, Including Engineers And Quality Control Specialists, To Ensure The Successful Production Of High-Quality Products. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential In This Role To Collaborate Effectively And Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
