Perform routine and complex electrical maintenance and repairs on campus facilities.
Oversee and supervise a team of electricians to ensure work is completed efficiently and in compliance with safety protocols.
Develop and implement electrical maintenance schedules for campus buildings and facilities.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, and provide effective and timely solutions.
Stay updated on industry advancements and changes in electrical codes and regulations, and ensure all work is in compliance.
Estimate materials and labor costs for electrical projects and prepare accurate project bids.
Collaborate with other departments and contractors to coordinate electrical work and ensure minimal disruption to campus operations.
Train and mentor junior electricians, and provide guidance and support to promote their professional growth.
Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and installations.
Communicate effectively with campus staff and stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns or issues related to electrical systems.
Monitor inventory levels and order necessary materials to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance tasks.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, and promote a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Respond to emergency calls and provide 24/7 on-call support for electrical issues as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Represent the university in a professional manner and uphold its values and standards.

Job Qualifications
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills.
A Valid Master Electrician License From The State Of New Mexico.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Master Electrician, Preferably In A Large Institutional Or Educational Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Electrical Codes, Regulations, And Safety Procedures.
Ability To Manage And Lead A Team Of Electricians, Apprentices, And Other Staff Members.
