Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff at Baptist Health South Florida.
Serve as a source of comfort and guidance to individuals during times of illness and recovery.
Utilize a strong faith foundation to connect with and support diverse spiritual beliefs and practices.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to understand their needs and provide appropriate support.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote holistic well-being and healing.
Participate in patient care conferences and provide spiritual guidance and support as needed.
Offer prayer, religious rituals, and other spiritual practices as requested by patients or families.
Respect and maintain confidentiality of patient and family information.

Job Qualifications
Ordained Baptist Minister: The Ideal Candidate For A Pool Chaplain Position At Baptist Health South Florida Should Possess An Active Ordination As A Baptist Minister, With A Strong Understanding Of The Baptist Faith And Its Teachings.
Pastoral Experience: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Pastor Or Chaplain In A Healthcare Setting, Providing Spiritual Support And Guidance To Patients, Families, And Staff.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For A Pool Chaplain. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds And Be Comfortable Delivering Sermons And Leading Group Discussions.
Compassionate And Empathetic: A Pool Chaplain Must Have A Compassionate And Empathetic Nature, With The Ability To Provide Comfort And Support To Individuals In Times Of Crisis Or Distress. This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of The Emotional And Spiritual Needs Of Patients And Their Families.
