Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families in the Med/Surg Tele unit.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Monitor and assess patients’ physical and emotional well-being, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and accurately document all patient care activities.
Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and professional work environment.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
Stay current with industry advancements and best practices in nursing, and continuously improve skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: Most Employers, Including Baptist Health South Florida, Require A Minimum Of A Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing For Registered Nurse Positions. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Both Clinical Skills And Theoretical Knowledge Necessary For Success In Med/Surg Tele Nursing.
Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Florida: To Work As A Registered Nurse At Baptist Health South Florida, Candidates Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Florida. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Education And Competency Requirements Set By The State’s Nursing Board.
Bcls And Acls Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (Bcls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Essential For Med/Surg Tele Nurses At Baptist Health South Florida. These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate’s Ability To Handle Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Med/Surg Tele Nursing: Baptist Health South Florida Requires Candidates For Registered Nurse Positions To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Med/Surg Tele Nursing. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Responsibilities Of This Specialized Nursing Field.
