Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to patients with respiratory illnesses.
Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatments, adjusting as necessary.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
Perform diagnostic tests to assess respiratory function and make recommendations for treatment.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and document all treatments provided.
Adhere to infection control procedures and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
Stay current on advancements and best practices in respiratory care through continuing education and training.
Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
Work in a collaborative and supportive manner with other members of the healthcare team.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the respiratory care department.
Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor while interacting with patients and colleagues.
Continuously advocate for the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Bachelor’s Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Program.
Current And Active Respiratory Therapist License In The State Of Connecticut.
Certification By The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc), Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment.
