Assist experienced respiratory therapists in providing care to patients with respiratory disorders.
Perform basic respiratory therapy procedures, such as administering oxygen therapy and monitoring patients’ breathing.
Learn and follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of equipment.
Participate in patient evaluations and assessments under the supervision of licensed respiratory therapists.
Document patients’ progress and maintain accurate and thorough records.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
Attend and actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
Actively contribute to the overall success of the respiratory therapy department.
Continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve in the field of respiratory therapy.

Job Qualifications
Completion Of An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program: A Respiratory Therapist Intern At Baptist Health South Florida Must Have Completed An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program To Ensure They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties.
Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt): Candidates For The Respiratory Therapist Intern Position Should Hold A Current Rrt Certification, Demonstrating Their Competency In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy.
Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications: Baptist Health South Florida Requires All Respiratory Therapist Interns To Hold Current Bls And Acls Certifications To Ensure They Can Provide Emergency Care To Patients.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Respiratory Therapist Intern, Effective Communication Is Essential In Working With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Excel In This Role.
