Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Stepdown unit.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, response to medications and treatments, and potential complications.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any changes in patient condition.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and self-management strategies.
Stay up-to-date with current best practices in cardiac care and implement evidence-based interventions.
Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses on the unit.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Continuously assess and improve nursing practices to ensure quality patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Ohio.
Bls And Acls Certification.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Or Surgical Stepdown Unit.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiovascular And Thoracic Surgical Procedures, Post-Operative Care, And Hemodynamic Monitoring.
