Position Overview:
As a Security Analyst (Level I) in our Security Operations Center (SOC), you’ll be a vital team member responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across diverse client environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated and innovative team, using the latest tools and technologies to safeguard critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
- Maintain situational awareness of client environments and emerging threats.
- Support the implementation of security controls and incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and clients to ensure effective security posture.
- Continuously improve SOC processes and procedures.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent certifications and experience.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a SOC environment.
- Bonus: Experience working in a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP).
Certifications:
- Security+ or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of network and security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS).
- Familiarity with common security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.
- Experience in incident response and digital forensics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
