Develop precise and effective radiation treatment plans for patients utilizing proton therapy.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior dosimetrists and other members of the radiation therapy team.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In Medical Dosimetry Or Related Field: A Senior Dosimetrist Proton At Baptist Health South Florida Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Medical Dosimetry Or A Related Field To Ensure A Thorough Understanding Of Radiation Therapy Techniques And Technology.
Certification From The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (Mdcb): Mdcb Certification Is A Requirement For This Role, As It Demonstrates A High Level Of Competency And Knowledge In The Field Of Medical Dosimetry.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Dosimetrist: This Position Requires A Significant Amount Of Experience In The Field Of Medical Dosimetry, With At Least 5 Years In A Senior Or Lead Dosimetrist Role.
Proton Therapy Experience: Baptist Health South Florida Utilizes Proton Therapy In Their Cancer Treatment, So Experience With This Technology Is Essential For A Senior Dosimetrist Proton Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Treatment Planning Software And Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Treatment Planning Software And Systems, Specifically Those Used In Proton Therapy, To Effectively Plan And Deliver Radiation Treatments.
