Oversee the maintenance and operation of the university’s utilities systems, including heating, cooling, and electrical systems.
Ensure that all utilities systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all utilities systems.
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and direction in their daily tasks.
Train and mentor team members to ensure their skills and knowledge are up-to-date.
Monitor and analyze utilities data to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
Develop and manage the budget for utilities maintenance, including identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
Communicate regularly with university staff, students, and other stakeholders regarding utilities maintenance and any potential disruptions.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of maintenance work.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of utilities maintenance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in utilities maintenance.
Handle any emergencies or urgent repairs in a timely and effective manner.
Represent the university in meetings and negotiations with external vendors and contractors.
Prepare reports and presentations on utilities maintenance activities and progress for university leadership.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Utilities Maintenance, Including Experience In Supervisory Or Leadership Roles.
Bachelor’s Degree In Engineering, Facilities Management, Or A Related Field.
Strong Knowledge Of Building Systems And Utilities, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Mechanical Systems.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team.
Familiarity With Relevant Safety Regulations And Procedures, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Maintenance Plans.
