Represent the City of Pittsburgh in federal litigation matters, ensuring that all legal proceedings are handled effectively and efficiently.<\/p>\n
Conduct research and analysis of federal laws and regulations to provide sound legal advice and guidance to the city.<\/p>\n
Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs, in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings, advocating for the city’s interests and defending its position.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other attorneys and city officials to develop legal strategies and make informed decisions.<\/p>\n
Keep updated on developments in federal laws and regulations that may impact the city and its operations.<\/p>\n
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as judges, opposing counsel, and city officials.<\/p>\n
Provide legal counsel to city departments and officials on a wide range of federal legal issues.<\/p>\n
Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.<\/p>\n
Conduct legal trainings for city employees on relevant federal laws and regulations.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and organized legal files and records.<\/p>\n
Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all legal matters.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.<\/p>\n

Active Membership In Good Standing With The Pennsylvania State Bar.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Federal Litigation, Including Trial Experience.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Knowledge Of Federal Laws And Regulations, Including Civil Procedure And Evidence.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Excellent Written And Oral Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Attorneys And City Officials.<\/p>\n
