Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in Bermuda and ensure that the company’s operations comply with them.<\/p>\n
Act as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies in Bermuda and manage all communication and interactions with them.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and risk management, to ensure that compliance issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs to promote ethical and compliant business practices within the company.<\/p>\n
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans.<\/p>\n
Monitor and report on compliance metrics and trends to senior management and the board of directors.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in regulations and proactively adapt compliance practices and processes to ensure ongoing compliance.<\/p>\n
