Lead and manage the medical underwriting team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of insurance applications.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement underwriting policies and guidelines in accordance with industry standards and company objectives.<\/p>\n
Oversee the development and maintenance of underwriting systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments, such as actuarial and sales, to identify and analyze risks and develop appropriate solutions.<\/p>\n
Monitor industry trends and changes in medical guidelines to ensure underwriting practices are up to date and compliant.<\/p>\n
Communicate and negotiate with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve complex underwriting issues.<\/p>\n
Review and approve high-risk or complex cases and provide guidance and support to the underwriting team.<\/p>\n
Continuously evaluate and improve underwriting processes and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.<\/p>\n
Mentor and train underwriters, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent and high-quality risk assessments.<\/p>\n
