Develop and implement strategies to protect Geico’s interests in legal matters related to insurance defense.<\/p>\n
Oversee and supervise the work of associate staff counsel to ensure high-quality and timely legal services.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments to provide legal advice and support on various issues related to insurance defense.<\/p>\n
Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations to senior management.<\/p>\n
Represent Geico in court proceedings and negotiate settlements with opposing parties.<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and manage their performance.<\/p>\n
Stay updated on industry trends, laws, and regulations related to insurance defense and make necessary adjustments to Geico’s legal strategies.<\/p>\n
Train and mentor junior staff members to ensure their professional growth and development.<\/p>\n
Prepare and present reports on legal matters to senior management.<\/p>\n
Work closely with the claims department to provide legal guidance on complex claims and ensure timely resolution.<\/p>\n
Monitor and manage legal expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.<\/p>\n
Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Juris Doctorate Degree From An Accredited Law School.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, With A Focus On Insurance And\/Or Personal Injury Litigation.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Active Bar Membership In Good Standing In At Least One State.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Leading A Team Of Attorneys And Support Staff.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Insurance Laws And Regulations, Including But Not Limited To Auto Insurance.<\/p>\n
