Design, develop, and maintain highly reliable and observable software solutions for critical systems.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.<\/p>\n
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.<\/p>\n
Implement best practices and industry standards for observability and reliability, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.<\/p>\n
Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve system reliability and observability.<\/p>\n
Continuously monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and implement optimizations.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and tools in the observability and reliability space, and recommend and implement them as needed.<\/p>\n
Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for software development, observability, and reliability.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other teams to develop and maintain a world-class platform that supports Geico’s business operations.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.<\/p>\n
Document technical designs, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain system stability.<\/p>\n
Adhere to company coding standards, processes, and policies to ensure consistency and maintainability of the codebase.<\/p>\n
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the platform, and contribute to the overall technical strategy for observability and reliability.<\/p>\n
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality code and promote team collaboration.<\/p>\n
Identify and address technical debt to improve system performance and maintainability.<\/p>\n
