Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the specific needs of each patient.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.<\/p>\n
Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.<\/p>\n
Utilize evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve patients’ communication and swallowing skills.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve their communication and swallowing abilities.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, including HIPAA regulations.<\/p>\n
Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech therapy.<\/p>\n
Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Master’s Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: Candidates For A Speech Therapist Position At Pruitthealth Should Possess A Master’s Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.<\/p>\n

State Licensure: All Applicants Must Have A Current And Valid State License To Practice Speech-Language Pathology.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha): Possession Of A Ccc From Asha Is Preferred For This Role, As It Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Speech Therapy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Speech Therapist In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Skilled Nursing Facility Or Rehabilitation Center.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Additionally, A Compassionate And Empathetic Approach Is Necessary To Provide Quality Care To Patients With Speech And Language Disorders.<\/p>\n
