Provide specialized nursing care for wound management to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.<\/p>\n
Develop individualized care plans for patients with various types of wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and burns.<\/p>\n
Conduct comprehensive assessments of wounds and provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of healing progress.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.<\/p>\n
Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and signs of infection.<\/p>\n
Utilize evidence-based practices and knowledge of current wound care trends to continuously improve patient outcomes.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all wound care treatments and interventions.<\/p>\n
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n
Serve as a resource and mentor to other nursing staff, providing guidance and support in wound care management.<\/p>\n
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in meetings and committees as required.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Four-Year Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For A Registered Nurse – Wound Care Position At Pruitthealth. This Education Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Prepares Individuals For A Specialized Role In Wound Care.<\/p>\n

Current Rn Licensure: All Candidates Must Have A Current And Active Rn License To Practice In The State Where Pruitthealth Is Located. This Demonstrates That The Individual Has Met All State Requirements For Nursing Practice And Is Qualified To Provide Care To Patients With Wound Care Needs.<\/p>\n

Wound Care Certification: A Certification In Wound Care, Such As A Wound Care Certified (Wcc) Or Certified Wound Specialist (Cws), Is Highly Preferred For This Role. This Certification Shows That The Individual Has Advanced Knowledge And Expertise In Wound Care Management And Treatment.<\/p>\n

Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least Two Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably With Direct Experience In Wound Care. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Clinical Background And Is Familiar With The Complexities Of Wound Care.<\/p>\n

Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Registered Nurse – Wound Care, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Collaborating With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Teams.
