As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of our residents by administering medications and monitoring their well-being. Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and facility protocols.<\/p>\n
Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects to medications.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication administration records.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for residents.<\/p>\n
Follow proper medication storage and handling procedures.<\/p>\n
Educate residents and their families on medications and potential side effects.<\/p>\n
Assist with medication refills and orders as needed.<\/p>\n
Report any concerns or changes in resident’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all state and federal regulations and facility policies regarding medication administration.<\/p>\n
Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.<\/p>\n
Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents at all times.<\/p>\n
Attend training and continuing education courses to stay current on medication administration practices.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with team members and residents’ families.<\/p>\n
Prioritize resident safety and well-being above all else.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Completion Of A State-Approved Medication Aide Training Program: The Candidate Must Have Successfully Completed A State-Approved Medication Aide Training Program And Obtained Certification.<\/p>\n

Active Certified Medication Aide (Cma) Certification: The Candidate Must Possess An Active Cma Certification, Which Requires Passing A State-Specific Medication Administration Exam.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of Medication Administration And Safety Protocols: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medication Administration Procedures And Protocols, Including Proper Dosage, Routes Of Administration, And Safety Precautions.<\/p>\n

Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Nursing Home Or Assisted Living Facility, Is Preferred. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation In Resident Care And Medication Management.<\/p>\n
