Ensure the safety of patrons at all times by actively monitoring the pool or beach area and responding quickly to any potential emergency situations.<\/p>\n
Enforce all safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment for all patrons.<\/p>\n
Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with patrons in a friendly and professional manner.<\/p>\n
Maintain constant communication with fellow lifeguards and other staff members to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to any emergency situations.<\/p>\n
Perform regular checks of pool equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate records of pool usage, incidents, and any other required documentation.<\/p>\n
Assist in the setup and breakdown of pool equipment and supplies.<\/p>\n
Attend and actively participate in all required trainings and meetings.<\/p>\n
Act as a positive role model for patrons by following all facility rules and regulations and promoting a safe and welcoming environment.<\/p>\n
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.<\/p>\n
Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the pool area and surrounding facilities.<\/p>\n
Continuously educate yourself on current lifeguarding techniques and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety for all patrons.<\/p>\n
Help to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all patrons, including those with special needs or disabilities.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other lifeguards and staff members to develop and implement emergency action plans and procedures.<\/p>\n
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Certification: A Valid Lifeguard Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Red Cross Or The Ymca, Is Required For The Position.<\/p>\n

First Aid And Cpr Training: Lifeguards Must Be Trained In First Aid And Cpr, As They May Need To Respond To Emergencies And Provide Immediate Assistance To Individuals In Need.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Physical Fitness: Lifeguards Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Duties Of The Job, Which May Include Swimming, Rescuing Individuals In The Water, And Performing Regular Pool Maintenance Tasks.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Communication Skills: Strong Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential For A Lifeguard, As They Need To Effectively Communicate With Patrons, Coworkers, And Emergency Responders In A Calm And Assertive Manner.<\/p>\n
