Provide individualized therapy and counseling services to students, faculty, and staff of the University of New Mexico.<\/p>\n
Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions and techniques to address mental health concerns and promote emotional well-being.<\/p>\n
Conduct thorough assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans for each client.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other members of the mental health team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of therapy and counseling.<\/p>\n
Create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their emotions and address their mental health concerns.<\/p>\n
Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in therapy and counseling.<\/p>\n
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.<\/p>\n
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n
Act as a resource and advocate for mental health awareness and education on campus.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with university departments and organizations to develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote mental health and well-being.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
A Master’s Degree In Counseling, Social Work, Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Therapy Or Counseling Services, Preferably In A University Or Mental Health Setting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Therapeutic Interventions And Techniques, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy And Solution-Focused Therapy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ability To Work With A Diverse Population And Understanding Of Cultural Competency In Therapy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current Licensure Or Eligibility For Licensure As A Therapist In The State Of New Mexico, Such As Lpc, Lmft, Or Lcsw.<\/p>\n
