Oversee the maintenance and operation of the university’s utilities systems, including heating, cooling, and electrical systems.<\/p>\n
Ensure that all utilities systems are operating safely and efficiently.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all utilities systems.<\/p>\n
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and direction in their daily tasks.<\/p>\n
Train and mentor team members to ensure their skills and knowledge are up-to-date.<\/p>\n
Monitor and analyze utilities data to identify potential issues and proactively address them.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and repairs.<\/p>\n
Develop and manage the budget for utilities maintenance, including identifying cost-saving opportunities.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.<\/p>\n
Communicate regularly with university staff, students, and other stakeholders regarding utilities maintenance and any potential disruptions.<\/p>\n
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of maintenance work.<\/p>\n
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of utilities maintenance.<\/p>\n
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in utilities maintenance.<\/p>\n
Handle any emergencies or urgent repairs in a timely and effective manner.<\/p>\n
Represent the university in meetings and negotiations with external vendors and contractors.<\/p>\n
Prepare reports and presentations on utilities maintenance activities and progress for university leadership.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Utilities Maintenance, Including Experience In Supervisory Or Leadership Roles.<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s Degree In Engineering, Facilities Management, Or A Related Field.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Strong Knowledge Of Building Systems And Utilities, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Mechanical Systems.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Familiarity With Relevant Safety Regulations And Procedures, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Maintenance Plans.<\/p>\n
