Teach courses in viola performance at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including private lessons, chamber music, and studio classes.<\/p>\n
Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects current trends and techniques in viola performance.<\/p>\n
Mentor and advise students in their academic and artistic development, providing guidance and support as needed.<\/p>\n
Participate in departmental and university committees, meetings, and events.<\/p>\n
Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain a high level of expertise in the field of viola performance.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with colleagues in the music department and across the university to create interdisciplinary opportunities for students.<\/p>\n
Contribute to the recruitment and retention of students by participating in recruitment events and serving as a positive representative of the university.<\/p>\n
Actively engage in research and creative activities, such as performances, recordings, publications, and presentations.<\/p>\n
Serve as a resource to the community by participating in outreach programs and events.<\/p>\n
Adhere to university policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity, diversity, and inclusivity.<\/p>\n
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.<\/p>\n
Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with students, colleagues, and the community.<\/p>\n
Fulfill administrative responsibilities, such as grading, course planning, and record keeping, in a timely and accurate manner.<\/p>\n
Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and materials to ensure high quality instruction.<\/p>\n
Represent the university and the music department at conferences, workshops, and other professional events.<\/p>\n

Master’s Degree In Viola Performance Or Related Field.<\/p>\n

Minimum Of 3 Years Professional Experience As A Violist.<\/p>\n

Demonstrated Proficiency In Teaching Viola At A Collegiate Level.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Active Participation In Professional Musical Organizations And Performances.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ability To Collaborate With Other Faculty Members And Contribute To The Overall Music Department Curriculum.<\/p>\n
