Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals with surgical procedures by preparing and organizing all necessary equipment and supplies.<\/p>\n
Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room at all times.<\/p>\n
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide timely assistance during procedures.<\/p>\n
Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.<\/p>\n
Monitor and accurately document patient vital signs and other relevant information during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as infection control and safety protocols.<\/p>\n
Continuously assess and maintain the functioning of surgical equipment and instruments.<\/p>\n
Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available for each procedure.<\/p>\n
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on new developments and techniques in surgical technology.<\/p>\n
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.<\/p>\n
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.<\/p>\n
Serve as a positive representative of Baptist Health South Florida and uphold our commitment to exceptional patient care.<\/p>\n
Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the performance of job duties.<\/p>\n

Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Or Surgical Center Setting.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Current Bls (Basic Life Support) Certification From The American Heart Association.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Knowledge Of A Variety Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment, Including Specialized Knowledge In Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, And Cardiovascular Procedures.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, With Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills.<\/p>\n
